Cryptojacking

Cryptojacking is the unauthorised use of someone else's computer, smartphone or other internet-connected device to mine cryptocurrency.

This process occurs without the device owner's knowledge or consent.

Typically, cryptojacking involves hackers installing malware or scripts on a victim's device, which then uses the device's computational resources (such as CPU or GPU power) to mine cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Monero, or Ethereum.

The goal of cryptojacking is for the attacker to profit from the cryptocurrency mining process without bearing the costs of hardware, electricity, or other resources typically associated with legitimate mining operations.
